Quest Bunbury is best franchise store in South West
QUEST Bunbury Serviced Apartments came away big winners at the 2011 South West Small Business Awards last Saturday.The business was one of only a handful of Bunbury business to come away with an award and was recognised as Franchisee of the Year.
Husband and wife owners Ron and Jodie Schroeder were thrilled with the title and attributed the success to a positive team environment.
“The staff strive to succeed and are aware of our business goals,” Mr Schroeder said.
“The award gives our franchise more credibility in the accommodation business – which is a huge plus.”
The award joins other accolades the business has received including the 2011 Quest Western Australia Franchise of the Year.
When it comes to working together both Ron and Jodie say they have found the best approach.
“It can be a challenge to be married and in business together, but the key is to define roles in and out of the office,” Mrs Schroeder said.
The couple attributes their past business ventures together with a smaller operation in a New South Wales motel was a fantastic learning curve.
The 2011 South West Small Business Awards were held last Saturday with an awards dinner at the South West Italian Club.
Business of the Year went to Vintages Accommodation in Margaret River.
Bunbury City Glass also picked up another major award, being named the best business with between 10 and 20 employees.
