Disciples   3:   Resurrection is a new landmark in the history of Nevendaar, when a new race ascends to power– the ruthless and merciless Undead Hordes. It is the story of selfless love and unfading glory. Heroes of the past, who had lost their lives, but not their sentience, are exacting their revenge in the name of Mortis, the Goddess of Death.

Lich Queen's story

Many former high priestesses of the Cult of Death which ruled in Alkmaar long ago, are now ardently serving Mortis, their new mistress, who seized power over them after the fall of the southern sorcerers' domain.

Aspiring to become even more useful for the Goddess of Death, they busied themselves with magical research, developing new and more powerful spells and multiplying their magical knowledge, which was their main asset back in life. Now the undead sorceresses are known as Lich Queens, and there are very few in Nevendaar capable of standing against them.  The knowledge of these menacing necromancers is vast, rivaled only by their dedication to their Lady. Her interests, her plans and her will are sacred for the risen witches.

Lich queens can cause dismay in the enemy ranks just by appearing on the battlefield, and they are justly feared not only for their renowned power, cruelty and hate for the enemies of the Fleshless Goddess. There were times when the beauty of the flourishing Cult's priestesses was on par with their magical prowess, and everyone who had seen them was struck with awe and delight. Now their appearance is the reflection of Mortis' own looks, who had sacrificed her extraordinary beauty in the name of her one true love.

Time did not spare the undead witches; neither did the dark magic. Their flesh is withered to the bones, and the features of their once beautiful faces are now distorted beyond recognition.

Design Team: Q & A design team of the Q & A World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King will add a new option to the game’s class roster with the introduction of the first hero class, the necromantic death knight. During the Second and Third Wars, the people of Azeroth learned to fear these merciless, unholy opponents and their terrifying powers. Leadinglegions of the undead into battle during the Third War, the Lich King’s death knights proved both their strength and their cunning on several occasions, making them an invaluable part of the Scourge army. the latest information in the upcoming film WOW: WTK will be joined by a new hero, the evil magic is the use of the death knight. In the second and third war, the people of Azeroth have experience before they are cruel, evil and formidable force. In the third war have repeatedly engaged in these executioner under the leadership of the Lich King’s undead army, and became the mainstay of the Scourge. In Wrath of the Lich King, you will be able to pick up a runeblade, don some plate armor, and wreak serious havoc using both melee abilities and offensive magic. To give you an early glimpse at the design philosophy behind the new class, we sat down with the World of Warcraft design team to talk about the role the death knight will play in the expansion’s story as well as in its gameplay, and to get their thoughts about goals and ideas for the new class. What makes you choose such a career? One of the things we knew very early on during development of Wrath of the Lich King was that we wanted to add an entirely new class to the existing ones.
