BLOOD ORANGE AND CHILI MEZCALITA

Prep (for 5-6 drinks)

  • Chili-Turmeric Concoction:

    • Mix and cool 1 cup of hot water, ½ tsp New Mexico chili powder, ¼ tsp desi turmeric powder, 2 tbsp agave syrup 

  • Juice 6 blood oranges 

  • Mix coarse Himalayan sea salt & New Mexico chili (3:1 for glass rim)

Mix

  • 1.5 oz Mezcal

  • 1. 5 oz blood orange juice

  • 6 oz chili-turmeric concoction

  • Ice

  • Juice of 1/2 lime

  • Shake it up in cocktail shaker 

  • Rub lime over glass rim and coat with salt + chili mix 

  • Optional garnish with slice of blood orange
